Well, Zimbabweans in the diaspora and adventurers alike – this flight deal is a good one! It sees flights at around £300 cheaper than usual and includes travel over Easter next year! Seats are selling out fast though, so be quick! Harare is the capital city of Zimbabwe and is definitely worth spending a few days in before heading into the National Parks. We recommend spending a couple of nights in Harare to visit some craft markets and see some animal sanctuaries to warm you up for the wildlife further afield. See our list of Best things to do in Harare to give you some inspiration. To get from Harare to Victoria Falls, Bulawayo and elsewhere, see the Harare transport links page.

Here are the details of the flight deal:

How to find the best prices

  1. Go to Google Flights and input the Gatwick to Harare route. Use the calendar view to see the best prices.
  2. There are flights as low as £484 directly with Ethiopian, booked via their website. This is the standard booking option for anyone looking to book tickets the conventional way, and is still a good price for the route.
  3. However if you’re happy to use an Online Travel Agent, click through to those for even lower prices, and also try looking for the flights on Momondo and Skyscanner. If you go with this option, it’s a good idea to ensure that the company you book with has an ATOL certificate – you can easily check this with Google. It is better to book online rather than on the phone.

Good luck, and let us know if you managed to bag a good price!

If you’re going to Zimbabwe, here are three things we’d recommend buying: (1) a fleece jacket, (2) mosquito repellent bracelets, and (3) a phone charging bank.
